ADA | short sleeve | linen blouse

A blouse with  a very special collar which I created taking inspiration from a beautiful image of my grandma Ada. Crafted using Irish linen with a smooth, close weave. This linen softens and ages beautifully. She has a relaxed fit with a buttoned front and elbow length sleeves.  Side slits at the hem. 

Ada will carry you through all seasons. Light enough to wear alone on a warm day or paired with a knit during the cooler months.

• Unique collar cut on the bias grain for a perfect shape.
• Front closure with shell buttons
• Elbow length sleeves
• High Hip-length cut,  with side slits for versatility.
• Made from 100% linen woven in Ireland. A 150gsm / 4.4 oz linen, a  soft and breathable fabric, ideal for every day wear.

THE STORY

My most vivid childhood memories are of times spent with my grandma (Ada). I remember going to garden parties in Withnell at the vicarage with her. These memories probably influenced the name Withnell. The photograph of a young Ada inspired this blouse . I wanted to recreate the garment she was wearing then.
