At Withnell, every garment begins with intention. Our brand has grown organically from a deep-rooted passion for storytelling, sustainability, and heritage craftsmanship. Each piece is designed slowly and thoughtfully, with respect for people and the planet.
Purpose-Driven Fashion
I created Withnell to make garments that reflect everything I’m inspired by — from personal history to natural beauty. I believe that as a designer, I hold a responsibility to create clothing that adds value, not waste. I don’t follow trends or mass-produce collections. Instead, I embrace slow fashion, creating made-to-order pieces that are versatile, timeless, and crafted to last.
Sustainable, Handmade Clothing
Withnell garments may cost more upfront, but they’re designed for longevity. Each piece is handmade with exceptional care and attention to detail using natural, sustainable fabrics sourced from trusted suppliers. Our materials are thoughtfully chosen — from organic cotton threads and OEKO-TEX-certified fibres to linen sourced from mills powered by clean energy.
We use Corozo buttons, made in the UK from the South American tagua nut, and elastic made from organic cotton and natural rubber, ensuring every component is biodegradable and recyclable.
Ethical & Eco-Conscious Production
Our made-to-order model eliminates overproduction and waste. Everything is sewn in my home studio using just two sewing machines — one of which I’ve had since I was 18. I work with real people of all ages, shapes, and sizes as models, and our garments are presented through natural, unretouched photography.
Packaging & Delivery That Don’t Cost the Earth
All Withnell packaging is recyclable and biodegradable. We ship using Royal Mail, whose delivery methods are among the most eco-friendly in the UK, with many routes still completed on foot.
