The family firm of Droyt Products Ltd was
founded in Minsk, Belarus in 1893. After the Bolshevik uprising in the 1920s the family had to flee Russia.

They set up a new soap factory in
Berlin. In 1937 the company was forced to move
again to escape the Nazis.

them to Chorley, Lancashire
where they set up factory in an old Victorian yarn mill.
