Handcrafted in our Lancashire studio
Ada features a unique collar and hand-finished details. An heirloom-quality staple that improves with age. Gently shaped at the sides with bust darts and front fastening with natural shell buttons. The two-piece sleeves create a graceful, distinctive silhouette.
Fabric - We chose Irish linen for its smooth touch and fine weave. This linen is Oeko-Tex certified and produced in a mill that is powered by green energy. .

Fit
A relaxed fit through the body with gentle shaping at the sides. Designed to skim rather than cling.
Models are a size 10 and wear a Withnell size 2 (10-12). True to size with plenty ease for comfort.

Styling
Ada is best worn with our relaxed Denis trouser or Howcroft culottes and layer with our Joyce pinafore or Jack Jacket during cooler months.
Caring for your garment
Made using carefully selected 100% linen woven in Northern Ireland and chosen for its smooth handle and fine yarn.

- Line dry where possible

A personal process
Our handcrafted one by one process takes 3-4 weeks from order to completion. Each blouse is meticulously cut and sewn by hand with dedicated attention to detail, ensuring a truly personal experience. The story
This blouse is named after my grandma, Ada.
I remember garden parties in Withnell at the vicarage.
An old photograph of her inspired this piece.

Where possible, I choose materials made in the UK and Ireland, or source through long-established UK merchants. For the things that can't be found closer to home, I work with trusted suppliers who share information about where and how their materials are made.
I believe you should know what goes into your clothes. Every Withnell garment comes with its own recipe, listing the materials used, where I sourced them and where they were made.
