THE STORY

There is a  lodge  where we played as children called Croft lodge. Historically it was  a natural stream, harnessed to provide a water source for the bleach works during the height of the cotton industry.  Nature has now reclaimed it and it is home to many ducks and migrating geese. A popular place for walks and picnics.
