Handmade needle cord dress with soft tiers, available in several colours, designed and made in Lancashire.

A dress made for comfort and for uplifting your spirits.

The silhouette is designed to  move with the body and fall naturally. Dorothy is slightly high waisted with  pockets to the front bodice and deep side seam pockets in the skirt.  Natural corozo buttons are used to the front and cuffs.

 Fit:  Grace wears a Withnell size 2 (10-12)  in saffron and Doe.  Dorothy  wears a Withnell size 1 ( 6-8) in navy.

Caring For Your Garment

We use a  superfine needlecord made using carefully selected pima cotton  chosen for its  durability, drape and ability to soften beautifully with wear.

  • Machine wash at 30°C
  • Line dry where possible
  • Warm iron on reverse if desired

Delivery

Please allow approximately 2-3 weeks for your garment to be made.  All  orders are shipped using tracked delivery.

The Story Behind Dorothy                                                                                                            Dorothy is named after my mum. She belonged to a generation that understood the value of good clothing and the importance of repair. She believed a garment should be practical, comfortable and beautifully made. If it wasn't useful, she wasn't interested. This shirt dress could only ever have been called Dorothy.
