Joyce was designed for everyday comfort. A drop waisted linen pinafore dress falling in a gentle, fluid a-line silhouette.
Designed and made in Lancashire.
Joyce has a gentle a-line shape with and a low waist. Featuring a hand pleated front bodice and buttons to. the back. Designed to be versatile and worn alone or layered.
* Please note that the pattern has ben altered slightly. I have raised the back to match the front neckline. This ensures no bra straps will be on display when worn alone. A new sample to follow shortly.

Fit
A relaxed fit through the body with room to layer for all seasons.
Dorothy is a size 10 and wears a Withnell size 2 (10-12). True to size with plenty ease for comfort.

Our handcrafted one by one process takes 3-4 weeks from order to completion. Each dress is meticulously cut and sewn by hand with dedicated attention to detail, ensuring a truly personal experience. The story
Named after my next door neighbour when I was growing up. Joyce was always singing, had a smile and was never seen without her signature red lipstick.
Sourced with care
Where possible, I choose materials made in the UK and Ireland, or source through long-established UK merchants. For the things that can't be found closer to home, I work with trusted suppliers who share information about where and how their materials are made.
I believe you should know what goes into your clothes. Every Withnell garment comes with its own recipe, listing the materials used, where I sourced them and where they were made.
